In modern society the computers has become essential part of any organization. An ‘A ‘ Level qualifier is expected to be key member of a software development team with all round capabilities to manage and guide a software project. In order to develop these capabilities the ‘A’ level course has been so designed that a student acquires an in-depth knowledge of the key areas like the computer software, office automation products, knowledge of developing a business system module using database packages, problem solving skills using programming languages, computer a rchitect ure, softwa re dev elopme nt life cycle, data -st ructure, da ta bas e management system, operating system, practical exposure to UNIX/LINUX a nd communication principles and computer networking, object oriented programming using C++ / JAVA and multimedia application.

Examination Pattern
Examination is conducted module wise after completion of module.
Internal marks: 20 {includes assignments, presentations, practical exam) External marks: SO
Total: 100
Pass Percentage
To qualify for a pass in a module, a candidate must have obtained at least 50% in each theory and practical examination.
The marks will be translated into grades, while communicating results to the candidates. The gradation structure is as below:-
